Whilst preparing a Mindfulness workshop, I am reconnecting to some of the great truths from simple and powerful concepts. Whilst we are living our life, we are experiencing constant internal and external stimuli.
How we interpret them is key.
The difference between reacting and responding:
Jumping suddenly in a knee-jerk way with anger, irritation or anxiety to what we see, hear, feel…..
...Or choosing a response from a different place entirely? Placing our awareness on purpose to what we are feeling without any judgement but with curiosity and kindness.
Offering up a mini pause which opens a true space of calm.
A practice which enables us to regulate our emotions, calm the nervous system, save energy and be more centred, present, and balanced. And of course, influence everyone around us too.
A whole new way to live.
