A free presentation on Mindfulness in Sabadell, to explain the roots and benefits of the ancient practice of Conscious Awareness.
Mindfulness is an ancient practice, which can actually be understood as a way of life, where we intentionally choose to pay attention to the present moment, non-judgementally and without intending to change or control our personal experience at any given moment. We learn to connect directly to our experience (whether it is pleasant, difficult or inexpressible) and to the physical sensations, thoughts and emotions that might be expressed at any given time.
By paying attention to what is happening from one moment to the next, we begin to develop a sense of inner balance and resilience, and the ability to observe ourselves with curiosity and equanimity, increasing our sense of self-esteem, getting to know ourselves better, and particularly learning the intrinsic connection between thoughts and emotions, so at the most challenging moments in our lives we are able to live with greater serenity, efficiency and balance.
